Non-Hazardous Landfill
Only a Non-Hazardous Landfill can accept Non-Hazardous Waste which includes Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and any other Non-Hazardous Waste of a similar nature that meets the relevant Waste Acceptance Criteria [1].
They can also accept Inert Waste for the engineering and cover of the waste, and some of these types of landfill are able to receive Stabilised Non-Reactive Hazardous Waste (SNRHW) in a separate engineered cell [2].
