This is a ‘waste destination’ description that appears in [[WasteDataFlow]].
[[Waste Disposal Authorities]] will select this option from a drop down list within [[WasteDataFlow]] if their [[Residual Waste]] collected by the [[Waste Collection Authority|Waste Collection Authorities]] or collected from the [[Household Waste Recycling Centres]] has bee sent to either of these treatment options.
[[Refuse Derived Fuel]] is the most popular treatment and disposal option of the three mentioned above with a large number of [[Waste Disposal Authorities]] choosing to consign their [[Residual Waste]] down this treatment and disposal route. [[MHT]] still remains an option for [[Waste Disposal Authorities]] in some parts of the country although it is not as popular as it once was. [[Autoclave]] is now mainly only used for the treatment of [[Healthcare Waste]] rather than [[Residual Waste]].
