Source Separated Collection is generally referred to with Dry Recyclables waste collection but can also be referred to in the collection of other waste streams with no mixing i.e. Food Waste and Green Waste

Single Stream Co-mingled (fully Co-mingled) - involves the collection of materials in one receptacle (usually a 240 litre bin) and collected in a single compartment vehicle with the subsequent sorting or Treatment of these materials at a suitable facility

The collection arrangements can vary according to the broader Collection System Design and what specific materials are collected, the containers used, the frequency of collection, and in the case of Household Waste rather than Business Waste, they will also vary according to the way the service is linked to the collection of Food Waste, Green Waste and Residual Waste.
