Reprocessor

The term generally used by an business that takes Segregated Recyclables and uses them to produce new products, as opposed to separating mixed materials for onward shipping for use by others. Examples might include a Paper Mill taking Cardboard to produce new Cardboard, or News & PAMS to make new newspaper or Cardboard products. Other examples could include a Plastics Reprocessor that may take a particular Plastic type for procesisng into pellets and for extrusion into new products.

When a Reprocessor produces an end product, often defined by achieving an End of Waste status, they generally will be able to claim a PRN for the tonnage recycled in respect of Packaging Waste
