Waste Incineration Directive

The Waste Incineration Directive (WID) was the original legislation that set the criteria for acceptable emissions from a combustion/EfW plant and was enacted into England via the Waste Incineration (England and Wales) Regulations 2004. These have now been replaced by the Industrial Emissions Directive.
