The Tilbury Green Power Plant was developed by Tilbury Green Power Limited, the major shareholders of whom are Electricity Supply Board (ESB) and the UK Green Investment Bank (GIB). Burmeister and Wain Scandinavian Contractor (BWSC) and AET are minor shareholders<ref name="TGP" />. GIB and ESB each invested £35m to the project as a combination of equity and shareholder loans, with an additonal £2m participation from the technology provider AET<ref name="GIB" />.
